Biology Unit KMSw

       Preliminary work upgrades (USNT) of SM Teknik Sejingkat (SMTS) and the construction of a new block for the first phase of operation of Kolej Matrikulasi Sarawak (KMSw) was started in October 2012. KMSw was scheduled to start operating officially in May 2013 prior to the BMKPM academic session of 2013 / 2014. KMSw temporary campus is sharing premises and academic facilities with SMTS until permanent campus is built.

 

        Our KMSw campus Cities campus is located in Sejingkat, Demak Laut area, approximately 25 minutes away from Kuching Town and 30 minutes from Kuching International Airport (KIA). In addition, there are several educational institutions nearby such as Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri (JPN) Sarawak, IPG Batu Lintang, IPG Tun Abdul Razak, Politeknik Kuching and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) in which we are expecting to build smart partnership with them.       

 

      Kolej Matrikulasi Sarawak (KMSw), established in late 2012, is the 15th Malaysian matriculation college under Matriculation Division, Ministry of Education (BMKPM/ MoE). With the capacity of 160 students, KMSw has two residential blocks equipped with various facilities including student accommodation, a reading room and recreation room. For academic purposes, there are two lecture halls equipped with ICT equipment and can accommodate 60 students, six tutorial rooms, three science labs (Biology, Chemistry and Physics), a computer labs, a language lab, resource center  and cafeteria for students' comfort. Out of all, KMSw will always be committed to ensure that the services offered will be upgraded continuously to ensure the excellence of our students.
